A viable hardwood timber which can be sustainably harvested and used as an alternative to our historically popular species (Rimu, Matai and Kauri). Beech is becoming more and more popular amongst Architects and designers due to its availability, being locally sourced, sustainability and amazing lustre and colours.
Recycled timber has played an important role in our past and is now playing an important part in our future. Originally, native lumber was the only local product we had to use as structural timber. As old buildings become obsolete and are demolished, they are being carefully pulled apart and the materials recycled and reused.
We are able to source and supply some of your old favourites by digging up logs which have been preserved by being buried deep in the ground. Due to the age and size of these logs, we are seeing some of the nicest Matai, Totara, Kauri and Rimu that we have seen in years.
American and European Oak are continuing to be a crowd favourite. The oaks deliver a hard wearing, economical solid timber floor. Oaks have a lovely grain pattern and due to their consistant colour variation, they can be easily stained to match joinery and furniture.
Engineered flooring has proven to grow rapidly in popularity over the past several years. Because the product is manufactured in bulk and can be pre finished at factory level, it can be significantly cheaper to add into your project especially when a stained timber is required. There are also some advantages with stability when using wide boards and over under floor heating. Our range is of a high quality product from reputable factories.

"Early in our house design phase we saw samples for Beechmark's recycled Rimu flooring and we loved it so much we purchased the timber and stored it for over a year."
